10 Reasons it is Ok to Date An Older Man
“Life is too short to be living somebody else’s dream. Age ain’t nothing but a number.” —- Hugh Hefner
Have you
ever had a crush on an older man, say your professor in college or any man 10
to 15 years older than you? If you have, I want to put your mind at ease by
telling you that it is completely normal. In fact, most women love dating older
men more than men of their age group. There is something about older men that
some women cannot resist. Something I can’t put my finger on. Maybe women are
attracted to the maturity level of these older guys, or it is the way older men
carry themselves, or it is because older men can challenge them mentally.
If you are a
lady and are attracted to an older man, there is nothing wrong with you. And if
you are a lady and considering getting into the dating scene, there are plenty
of good reasons why you should opt for older men. That is what we are going to
talk about in this article today.
Reasons to Date Older Men
- 1. They are more experienced
Men grow old
like a fine wine. Their past experiences have molded them into someone who can
make their situation much better than before. An older man comes with a certain
level of maturity and are aware that things always don’t happen the way they
hoped, and so they are more patient with everything in their lives.
An older man know what they want and have the guts to go for it. They are more confident, well-mannered, have been in a lot of places, and are more cultured.
- 2. They are mostly financially stable
The only
thing that normally comes into people’s minds when they hear that a woman is
dating an older man is money. This is
the general stigma in society. However, this turned out to be just a myth as a
study in 2010 by the University of Dundee in Scotland indicated that as women
become financially independent; their preference may skew toward an older man. So
it appears that when a woman becomes more successful and mature, she tends to
seek a partner with the same level of maturity.
An
independent woman will not settle for a man who is not earning at all.
A man in his
late 20s is likely to have less wealth, few savings, and fewer assets compared
to 20 years to come, considering that he continues to accumulate wealth as he
the years go by.
- 3. They are likely to be better in bed
The older the man, the more experience he has under his sleeves in terms of a romantic relationship. This gives him an edge when it comes to handling relationships, as now they understand women and what they want.
Aside from
having more experience in bed, an older man understand women better than
younger men. They are a bit sensitive to their women’s physical and emotional
needs. Most older men are also more romantic and have a good sense of
humor.
- 4. They have gained a sense of taste
In terms of
finer things in life, older men usually know how to choose the better ones, be
it wine, vocational destinations, food, and clothes. This is because they can
afford most of these things and also because they know what is good and what is
not.
- 5. They knows what comprises a great date
An older man know what a real date should entail. This again comes down to the experience he has amassed over the years. This does not mean that an older guy will be opposed to a night of Netflix and chilling, but he is well-versed on how a proper date should be.
An older man
has a greater understanding of your fears, concerns, as well as what you are
looking for in life. A matured guy wants to be your friend first and is willing
to work through any hurdles along the way.
- 7. They live a healthy lifestyle
While they
will drink wine and beer or even smoke, they usually know where to draw the
line. An older man can also handle their issues better because they are mature
enough to know the way out.
They tend to
have at least one or two sports that they enjoy taking part in. They make it a
habit of maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. Older men tend to spend
their money on such things as spare parts of their vehicles or bikes instead of
video games and other gadgets.
Also, older men know the benefits of having a relaxing time, so they do not feel the urge to stretch their limits and exhaust their bodies.
- 8. They are likely to be looking for a serious relationship
Naturally,
men take longer to mature than men, thus mostly; middle age is the age of
maturity for men. This is the age for a serious and more stable relationship.
It is at this stage that they have everything figured out, and they are now
ready for something more than just a good time.
Therefore
women who are tired of immature relationships can seek a more stable
relationship with older men.
- 9. They are not party animals
Younger men
are usually more focused on parties, loud music, booze, and all that stuff. On
the other hand, older men realize that a party-focused lifestyle is not
sustainable and unhealthy. Instead of partying, older men normally enjoy the
company of their close friends.
- 10. They don’t give up that easily
I have already mentioned that older men understand what they need and go for it. If he values you, he will fight for you. Older men don’t usually love with one foot out the door, unlike many younger men.
Go for it. And remember LoveWorks for the fun stuff.
